Auckland Sightseeing
This morning you will be collected from your accommodation and taken on a sightseeing tour of the city and waterfront. Travel across the Harbour Bridge for vies of Auckland City and the Waitemata Harbour before returning to the summit and volcanic crater of Mount Eden. Visit the Auckland Domain and driver through Parnell with its many boutique shops before driving the beautiful Tamaki Drive along the waterfront. You will disembark at Kelly Tarltons Underwater World and Antartic Encounter. (Includes pick up / drop off). Balance of afternoon at leisure. |

Depart Auckland

| DAY 01 |
Auckaland - Bay of Islands
Travel north from Aucland along the beautiful Hibiscus Coast to the Bay of Islands. Afternoon is at leiausre to enjoy the many activities of the area that was the stage for much of New Zealand's early history. This included settlement by Polynesian adventurers, discovery by Captain Cook, the urruly whailing ear and then the signing of the Treaty of Waitani in 1840 which cemented Europen and Maori into nationhood. nationhood. |

Paihia - Cape Reinga - Bay of Island (-/L/-)
From Paihia enjoy the istorical and scenic journey to Cape Reinga. Drive along the mighty Ninety-Mile Beach, beneath gigantic sand dunes. If you dare - ride the sand sledges. At Cape Reinga, wander out to the lighthouse where spectacular views of the two oceans Pacific & Tasman meet. Lunch is included. |
| DAY 03 |
Bay of Islands - Auckland
Board the luxury catamaran at the Paihia Maritime Wharf and cruise to Cape Brett. This most popular cruise in the Bay of Islands wil shixk you on a comfortable journey out through game fishing waters to the Cape Brett Lighthouse and the famous Hole in the Rock. On the return journey, time is taken to meander through the islands. View sandy beaches, beautiful bays and marine wildlife before an island stopover allowing you to enjoy a scenic walk swim and browse through the local souvenir shop. Upon return to Paihia, your coach will return you to downtown Auckland at approximately 9:15pm. |

Travel south over the Bombay Hills, follow the Waikato River to Hamilton, then on via Te Awamutu to Waitomo. Lunch at own arrangement before visiting the Waitomo Caves. Tour to cave include the magical boat ride through the Glow-Worm Grotto, continue on via Lake Karapiro to arrive in Rotorua. Evening enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and concert. |

Rotorua Sightseeing
Rotorua is the center of the geothermal region of New Zealand and is als the main certer of Maori culture. Boiling mud, Geysers and Silica deposits surrounding the lade attract visitors from all over the world. Enjoy a half day termal tour - visit Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, Rainbow Springs, Farm Show and Lake Rotorua. Lunch at own arrangement. Afternoon you will be collecting from you host at meeting point and transfer to farmstay tonight. |

Rotorua - Auckland
After breakfast with your host, you will be taken on a Farm Tour in the farm. Lunch at own arrangement. Return to Rotorua in the afternoon for your coach to Auckland. You will return to downtown Auckland at arount 8:15pm. |

In the afternoon, you will be collecting from your host at the meeting point and transfer to farmstay tonight. |

Rotorua - Christchurch
Today fly from Rotorua over the majestic Southern Alps to Christchurch. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. (domestic airfare not included) |
| DAY 04 |
Franz Josef - Greymouth - Christchuch
From Christchurch, travel South across the Canterbury Plains, through farming communities before climbing up to high plains of the McKenzie Country, pausing at the Church of the Good Shepherd to view Lake Tekapo. Continue to Mount Cook village nestled under New Zealands' highest Mountain, Mt Cook. The mountain overlooks a netwoek of glaciers that feed Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki. There are a number of activities including walks, tramps and scenic flights that will enable views of Mt Cook and the glaciers (own expense). From Mount Cook return along the length of Lake Pukaki then ahead South through Twizel and Omarama to the Scenic Lindis Pass. Once over the pass follow the Clutha Valley to it's junction with the Kawarau Gorge at Cromwell. Queenstown is reached by following the "Gold Trail" alongside the winding Kawarau River. Queenstown nestles up to the northern shore of Lake Wakatipu from where it commands an expansive view of the peaks that surround the Lake. |
| DAY 05 |
Milford Sound Day Excursion
Drive through the magnificient beech forests of the Eglinton and Hollyford Valleys, through the Homer Tunnel to Milford Sound for a launch excursion on the fiorl. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery including the awe - inspiring Mitre Peak with a full comm- entary on the natural history of the fiord. Lunch is included. Upon conclusion return to Queenstown. |
| DAY 06 |
Queenstown
Today is free to enjoy the many leisure prusuits. The local staff at " The Station " can assit with information and reservations for the huge selection of things to see & do. |
| DAY 07 |
Queenstown - Mt. Cook - Christchurch
Coach oick up and travel back to Christchurch. Arrive in Christchurch at approximately 6:30pm |

Wellington - Picton - Christchruch
Depart Wellington for Picton on the inter-island ferry. Upon arrival in Picton board the Coastal Pacific Train which wends it's way along the East Coast, to Christchurch. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. |

Today is at leisure, to enjoy the "Garden City". |

This morning depart for a full day journey from Queenstown to Franz Josef. During the trip, you will traverse Kawarau Gorge, Hawera River and Lake Wanaka. Travel through Haast and continue on the Franz Josef. (Lunch own expense). |
| DAY 11 |
Franz Josef - Greymouth - Christchurch
Today travel to Greymouth and board the scenic Tranz Alpine for a rail journey famous for it's spectacular mountain scenery as it's traverse the Southern Alps which divide the East and West Coasts of the South Island. Travel acrross the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch arriving at approximately 6:35pm. |
